Laser hair removal (ELOS)
The laser device using ELOS technologytargets the hair with optic energy and preheats the hair follicle cells, than delivers the required excess energy with the use of electrical energy in a skin-sparing way, therefore it is an efficient hair removal process for lighter, finer hair and for darker skintone as well.
Instructions for before-treatment series:
- Fall and winter season is the most appropriate for treatments, since during the applied treatments one can not sunbath or use a solarium.
- During the previous one month before the first treatment hair removal is only permitted with the use of a razor, waxing, epilation, tweezing is not allowed.
- On the day of the tretment one should possibly avoid the use of scented creams, body lotions, make-up on the affected skin area.
- Before the treatment a test treatment is performed to determine the adequate energy levels and skin reactions.
After-treatment instructions:
- For a few hours after treatment redness of the skin should be taken into account which can be alleviated by cooling creams and gels.
- For a few days the use of cosmetic products on the treated area is not recommended, the uncovered parts of the body (face, arms ect.) should be protected with high SPF product even againts mild sun’s rays.
- For one or two days intense physical activity, swimming pool, sauna should be avoided.
When is the procedure contraindicated?
- For persons under the age of 18
- In case of pregnancy
- In case of open wounds and disturbed wound healing, scarring
- On the area of active herpes
- Following certain cosmetic interventions (tattoing, botox treatment, deep peel etc.)
- In certain diseases (e.g. diabetes mellitus, circulatory and coagulation disorders, skin disorders, epilepsy, tumors and disorders of the immune system)
- When taking any photosensitizing drugs
- ELOS equipments cannot be used in persons with metal prosthesis, pacemaker.
